STUDENT DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP ZONE

Updated: Aug 22, 2020

Blessings PCA family!

Are you aware of the new changes implemented in our school? In case you missed our Zoom meeting last week, this is the map for our NEW student drop-off and pick-up zone. Not only that, but we have a new protocol to follow before each student can get out of the car.

1. Wellness check:

During student drop-off, students will be submitted to the following:

o Daily Temperature check: The assigned staff will safely measure and record every student’s temperature.

A measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.00 F will not be accepted on-campus. The parent/guardian of said student will commit to have the student examined by his/her doctor immediately. Students that are sent home due to fever should remain home until 24 hours post the last fever without the use of fever reducing medications (Motrin, Tylenol).

If your child had a fever overnight or in the morning, please DO NOT give him/her Tylenol/Motrin and then SEND THEM TO SCHOOL! If he/she has had a fever prior to the start of school, please keep him/her home.

o Symptoms’ Checklist: Parents/guardian will complete the checklist below every day and for every child before coming to campus. Dropping off a student on campus, confirms that the checklist was submitted with the last option checked. Any submitted misinformation will be penalized with the automatic expulsion of the student from Power Christian Academy.

¨ Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit

¨ Loss of taste or smell

¨ Cough

¨ Difficulty breathing

¨ Shortness of breath

¨ Fatigue

¨ Headache

¨ Chills

¨ Sore throat

¨ Congestion or runny nose

¨ Shaking or exaggerated shivering

¨ Significant muscle pain or ache

¨ Diarrhea

¨ Nausea or vomiting

¨ My child shown no symptoms and has not shown any symptoms for the last 72 hours.

All staff members will also participate in daily health checks, just as described before,

2. Waiting for your turn: The following guidelines will ensure social distancing and crowd control.

o Parents/guardians are not allowed to bring their child/children into the school.

o As cars line up, both parents/guardians and students must remain inside the car until the staff member indicates that the child/children may come out. This will happen only after the staff member records attendance and the parent/guardian confirms that the child/children is/are symptom free (according to the provided symptoms’ checklist).

If you have any questions, please contact us to 956-771-7427.

3. Packed Lunch Check: Every student is expected to bring a packed lunch. Food delivery services will not be allowed in campus.

Mrs. Delia Serna will receive our students starting from 7:15 am. She will indicate to every student his/her assigned classroom.
